Swan’s Island Educational Society receives grant to create Literacy and Discovery Packs at the Swan’s Island Library

Swan’s Island, Maine – The Swan’s Island Educational Society (SIES) recently received a $540.oo grant from the Rose and Samuel Rudman Library Trust of the Maine Community Foundation to create family literacy and discovery packs to check out of the library.  These packs will be designed to support all areas and ages of literacy using STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) as the basis of content selection.

SIES was founded in 1970 and became received 501 (c) 3 status in 1972.  This mission of SIES is to provide library and historical collections services for the town of Swan’s Island.  For more information, call 207-526-4330.
