In September, the Historical Society, which has been part of SIES since its founding, was approved as a non-profit and has separated from the Swan’s Island Educational Society. The change was motivated by the opportunity of becoming owners of the Swan’s Island Methodist Church. That opportunity became a reality in mid-October when the deed was officially transferred.
