Please join us at the SI Library on Tuesday, August 8 at 7 p.m., for a reading by Ellie O’Leary. O’Leary grew up in Freedom, Maine and has always lived in New England.Her poems reflect on childhood, memory, marriage and divorce, lists and lichen. Her 2020 poetry collection Breathe Here and 2023 memoir Up Home Again will be available for purchase and inscription after her reading. Our library’s Maine memoir book club will explore Up Home Again this coming January. Island poet Gary Rainford will introduce Ms. O’Leary.
