Island librarian passes away
An island and Maine librarian passed away on February 26, 2017 at the age of 96. Charlotte Hall, librarian, lived on Swan’s Island for several years in the late 1970’s and early 1980’s. She came to the island as the wife of Winslow Hall who served as pastor of the Advent Christian Church.

MDI Y visits Swan’s Island
Yesterday, Aaron Long from the MDI YMCA visited the library and provided a day camp for island youngsters. Fun was had during activities inside and out with Harry Potter as the theme.

An egg blew up in the library….
Oh my goodness what fun we had last night. Egg shells went flying, hydrogen was exploding, peroxide became a flowing fountain of volcanic foam, and a purple liquid moved through the colors of the rainbow before staying orange.
